Research has shown that participation in formal swimming lessons can reduce the risk of drownings by 88%³. SwimSavers, a non-profit organisation (NPO Number: K2025276037), is dedicated to turning the tide on child drowning, by empowering vulnerable children from disadvantaged communities with swimming skills and water safety lessons4.
Besides water safety, learning to swim plays a vital role in supporting children’s physical, cognitive, and social development, including enhanced coordination, confidence, social engagement, and overall wellbeing.
